Are You Ready??

"Ready for what" you say? Christmas, Hannukah, the holiday gift giving season!

At The Eclectic Mall there are stores to satisfy everyone's taste, interest, hobby and style. There are stores for sports fanatics, surfers, campers and fishermen (and women). There are stores for your pets, stores for candle lovers, for people who love sweets (who doesn't?), stores selling gourmet food and drink, collectibles of all kinds, cards, decorations.......I could go on and on. I also have Amazon.com so if you love shopping there, as so many do, you'll find a link to all of their specials as well.

I have created a special "Holiday Specials" tab in my website and at this time there are four pages of specials including reduced pricing and free shipping. This is updated daily as more and more merchants send their specials to me. To go directly to this tab visit http://the-eclectic-mall.webnode.com/holiday-specials/.

I have also added several new stores, including Kazoo Toys, an award winning toy store, and a new category - Fun Fashions, with stores such as Happy Feet, Pajamas.com, Beau Ties Ltd. of VT and many others.

I hope that your holidays are filled with joy, friends and family.

It's Candle Burning Time Again!

This time of year is just perfect for wonderful fragrances from scented candles to fill your home. The temperatures are cooling down, leaves are changing color and everyone is getting ready for the holidays. It is also a very nostalgic time - time to remember the sweet aromas that filled your home as a child. The aromas that came from Mom's cooking and baking.

For the past week, I have been burning a scent that is perfect for autumn. It is called "Harvest" and is offered by Diamond Creek Candles, which is just one of the many stores you can visit at http://www.the-eclectic-mall.webnode.com and is available in the Diamond Jar, Pillar, Traditional, Votives, Mozzafiato, Scoopables and Custom Candles. I have been using a warmer, also available at DCC, and the Scoopable Harvest, which is a wickless candle. The wax melts in the warmer and since there is no flame, it is safe around children and pets. It is made of 100% natural vegetable wax so even people with allergies can enjoy these.

With over 100 scents from which to choose, and many types of candles available, I am sure that you will find something to your liking at Diamond Creek Candles. Click on the link below to see all that this candle company, which has been in business since 1998, has to offer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I am sure many of you are aware that October has been set aside as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My best and oldest friend, Anne, is a 2 year survivor. She was diagnosed on 10/19/07 (which happened to be her 53rd birthday) and spent the next year going through surgery and chemo and radiation. But she made it! In honor of her, and all the many women AND men who have beat this disease or are in the process of fighting it, I would like to donate 50% of my profits from any PINK candle or warmer purchased from my store, Diamond Creek Candles, located at http://www.diamondcreekcandles.com/reps/flicka54.php.

I have no doubt that some of you have been touched by this in one way or another. Won't you please help?

The Eclectic Mall

After working my entire adult life in an office environment, most recently at Blue Cross as an operations analyst, I found myself unable to work outside the home. Since I am not the type of person to sit in front of the TV all day, I decided to find something that I could do from home, not only to keep my sanity but to bring in a little extra money. I tried, unsuccessfully, to find a work from home "job" and found they are pretty much non-existant. I also tried a couple of different businesses, but seemed to spend more money than I was making. Not wanting to give up, I decided to try affiliate marketing. I searched on line and was amazed at all the different companies that offer affiliate memberships.

This site will always be "a work in progress" but is now ready to launch. As the days and weeks go on, I will be adding more stores and finding more deals for everyone.

I named it The Eclectic Mall because here you will find some of this and some of that.

Another reason for starting this business is my desire to contribute to two very important causes in my life, Alzheimer's Research and the ASPCA. In 1995 I lost my mother, at the very young age of 63, to Alzheimer's. I would like to do my part, no matter how small, to help find a cure for this devistating disease. Also, I have always been an animal lover and would like to be able to help abused and abandoned animals across the country. 5% of all my commissions from all but pet sites will be donated to Alzheimer's Research. 5% of all my commissions from all the pet sites on The Eclectic Mall will be donated to the ASPCA.

I would like to invite you to http://www.the-eclectic-mall.webnode.com, visit the different stores and check out the specials advertised on the home page, sign my guestbook and please, leave feedback under the "feedback" tab on the right side of the home page.
